The FL is very practical and is just doing her very best to survive and return home. The King is horrifying and the ML is the King's son. The ML is also really practical and charismatic and strong. He is the one who proposes the Contract marriage and make her the empress and they clean the Kingdom together. They work so well together too! They are truly equals and the ML falls first.
He even changes the law on marrying more than 1 wife even though the FL is ok with it for it is advantageous for him to have a First Queen. That's how logical she is and she doesn't bring herself to love him at first because she doesn't want to stay as an Empress.
Their relationship just grows into love so naturally as they work together to make the kingdom a better place for everyone and aren't afraid to dirty their hands. Truly awesome rulers!
The Villainess man... we feel for her yet want her dead and she is a force to be reckoned with. The Supporting cast is great too.
The plot keeps you on your toes as you binge-read the whole Webtoon!
