The best part of this manga was the friendships, not the romances. The friendships were solid, even among romantic rivals, and platonic chemistry between the different personalities was pretty strong. The romance of the side characters was the most interesting and satisfying, and the further to the side they were seemed to be proportional to the quality of how they were written. The main love triangle was cliche, drawn out, and problematic. Everyone in love (unfortunately even most of the side romances) seemed to have the exact same set of lines: "I want you to be mine and only mine", "your voice belongs to me", "my voice is yours", and "you drive me crazy". It gets pretty irritating when all of the love interests seem to be confined to the exact same script. The 2 guys in the main love triangle are completely selfish and mostly focus on what they want or about doing better than the other guy. Neither of them seem to really care about what is best for the main girl and they act like she does not have the agency to decide what is best for herself. They take credit for all of her succes or believe her success to ride on the abilities of the other guy. All the talk of owndership is weird and immature. No one ever mentions that the main girls voice belongs to herself, instead they fight over claiming it and she contemplates who it is she is singing for and who owns her voice. My last issue is that when the main guys are reunitted with the main girl who they are in love with after being seperated for 6 years they both act increddibly cold and hostile, telling her not to speak to them. Their reaction is so extreme, barely makes sense, and is hardely believable which might be acceptable if only one of them had this type of strong irrational reaction, but the fact that they both react in identical ways just makes it seem like it wasn't really thought through properly.
