I was so hyped for it and it didn´t dissapointed yet.
Also the Manga left out some vital moments, which are faithfully done in the tv show.
A must watch of 2022!
The story has intricate world building and some epic twists later on, while leaving the main charackter allways in a pickle, even late on in the story, where other shows are losing it´s audience because the main charackter becomes god like powerfull. 40M of cultivation allways stays on equal footing with the antagonist or leaves him against impossible odds.
Also many aspects of ethics, moralism and philosophy are made to be key points in the story, while the human experience, management and consequent sharing of recources in a society, even alien live is heavely influencing the story.
I don´t know any other show which goes into so many areas and still maintain a strong story development.
I know it´s maybe a bit etchy but I allways come to compare the story with lord of the rings.
Here just a short introduction into the main story (no spoilers!)
The main charackter Lie Yao get´s isekaied from earth into a society of cyberpunk cultivation (40000 of cultivation that´s the reason for the title) He has his way of survival due to the stories and technology he knows from earth and lives as a poor orphan at a dangerous landfill for magic devices (flying swords, broken artefacts ...which can explode , curse or harm you in all ways possible) Trying to search and sell usefull items to survive the day , while fighting with other Scavangers over them. Which are as dangerous as the items ... think of the worst gangs on earth like MS 13.
Oh and it´s quite similar to Martial Peak but with a futuristic setting similar to 40k
So if you like chinese scifi fantasy, give this show a try ;-)
It´s computer animated, but for chinese productions in a quite decent way.
