The characters feelings and their actions are executed excellently with proper reason(s) relating to each one of the characters. The best example would be Chisato and her refusal to kill. Chisato's teachings to Takina regarding the preservation of life/lives. The backstory behind Chisato is a unique one, that's worth a look at.
The animation of Lycoris Recoil is spectacular, on-par with some of the greatest out there. It's simulation of realistic situations, fights, and overall situations is depicted phenomenally; down to the most miscellaneous frame.
