It's my first time writing a review on here so I hope you can bear with me as I write about my thoughts on this anime lol. To start off, I enjoyed every episode and I found myself looking forward to Saturdays because of this anime. Lycoris Recoil may just seem on the surface about high school-age girls with guns and if you get far enough into the story, protecting the image of "safe Tokyo" and clashing ideals. But through its bright colors and animation, we meet our characters and their respective developments. We learn their stories and how we came to that point at the anime. I must admit that some of the supporting characters may not have fleshed out development such as our main characters, but they do provide the anime with ample support that makes this anime feel "Full" if that makes sense.

It was a nice change of scenery to other action type anime where this one felt particularly bright. Compared to other anime, this might feel light to other viewers but I think that is its charm. It was easy to take in and the characters are so likeable and the stories of other characters were really interesting and made the story sad but impactful especially the Mika and Yoshi one. I loved the character development of Takina, we see her grow into this emotional person who is willing to break rules/protocols for those she cares about.

Also the VA in this anime was amazing. I was honestly so surprised at the range of Wakayama Shion and Anzai Chika. Like the last two episodes were just performance greatness. Also shoutout to Kirito's VA who makes the perfect voice of Majima, someone who needs to be the necessary evil in that society.

I highly recommend this anime for anyone who wants to watch a light but immensely fulfilling journey.
The anime ends with a happy ending, but it was just open enough for consideration of future works such as a possible season, movie, or OVA.
