Genuinely one of the most fun rides ive ever read
Golden Kamuy has a very wide cast of characters, fleshes all of them out enough that they feel real, and has you rooting for all of them. There wasn't a single character in here that i didn't like or thought was pointless. The pacing is fast but also takes its time to make sure the stuff that matters isnt rushed. The plot is intriguing and absolutely filled with twists and turns that made me want to read more. All the antagonists are fun and interesting, with some pretty out there ones (im looking at you, bear-fucker Shiton Anehata). The comedy is actually hilarious, with some really wacky situations our characters find themselves in. The historical accuracy is pretty damn cool too, along with being informative and shit! The recognition of the Ainu as a very central part of the story is awesome too, the Indigenous people of most countries often get quite overshadowed in media, so glad they got some love here. Some incredible action scenes, some gorgeous background art, good character designs, and awesome gore make this a very nice manga to look at as well
Really no complaints other than the length, but it was necessary to make sure all the characters got their development so i dont mind it too much
