It's a very good series, but I think the comedy tag only fits about a quarter of the time due to the much more realistic way it treats the situation compared to most other manga. If you are someone who has ever dealt with social anxiety, then while you may enjoy the series, you should expect to feel depressed while reading it.
Neeko is a very realistic character, and she can be considered a very detailed depiction of real NEETS. Most manga and anime will use NEETS as a stand-in for a lazy, useless type of person, but seeing Neeko provides you with a much more human interpretation. She doesn't want to be this way, and she spends most of her life pained by the burden she places on the people around her as well as the severe anxiety that stops her from moving forward.
The biggest factor that keeps me reading is how desperately I want to see Neeko be happy.
