I've seen many people who appear to dislike this anime, while I myself however, find it very interesting. Vermeil in Gold is about a boy (Alto) who isn't able to summon a familiar, and while in the library, happens to find a book about magic which allows him to summon a familiar. However, after he's finished with the summoning, to his shock a demon female Vermeil is summoned by him. Get ready for a short review.

Characters 10/10: While the personalities aren't very original, (Lilia, classic childhood friend in love, Chris, bully who turns nice) I really love how each character is portrayed within Vermeil in Gold. Lilia does have a couple flaws however, and can come off a little annoying sometimes along with Vermeil and Chris. Still, the characters have excellent designs and personalities.

Artwork 8/10: The art is good, however could be a bit better. The designs of the characters are truly however amazing, (such as Lilia, Chris, Marx, Alto, Vermeil..many more.

Story 10/10: The plot is also pretty good honestly, even the long fighting scenes are something enjoyable to watch in a way.

Overall, Unless you dislike Nudity, (which is shown a lot within this anime if you didn’t know) I think you might like Vermeil in Gold a lot.
