It's such a wonderful series power fantasy done right , just like opm , but this is more adult and dark like very dark at times, all the people hate overlord for all the wrong reasons , this series genuinely deserves more recognition . Many people hate it just because of the isekai theme and they judge it too soon , some are so obsessed with shonen drama that they can't comprehend adult themes , it's so bad people are really hating on the series because ainz is evil , him being evil was the whole point . Some high class novel reader hate it because it's not exactly like novel , some hate it for CGI , some hate it for violence , some claim there is no tension in the series or the m.c and people in nazerick are simply bland as well as the other characters . People are straight out hating on the series for totally bullshit reasons , so if you're thinking of watching it , i want to you to use your brain and think , why is this novel so popular and the highest selling isekai and try watching the anime or novel for yourself, don't trust much of these reviews you read on mal or IMDb , i went through those it feels like they didn't even wanna like the story in the first place and watched forcibly to write a review with no facts or points just straight out hating on everything .

The biggest claim that I will debunk is series having no tension . People are getting murdered , ainz destroys a whole nation , demiurge kidnaps humans and skins them alive for making scrolls , enemies of nazerick keeps building , so many unknown threats in the new world , and it is a known fact now there are world tier items in this new world , which can harm nazerick , powerful foes have been introduced like the platinum dragonlord etc. + Did you know - there is a world item called world savior which can obliterate the whole nazerick all together , it's a weak item in the beginning but grows strong as it's weilder keeps fighting with it , and there can be many world level items like these in the hands of ainz's foes , but the real tension is build through other people that fight against ainz , the people fighting against evil , the adventurers , the heroes . So in the end I'll just say watch the series or read the novel , don't miss reading such a great story just because some hater decided to rate it 2-3 star and common guys , a genuine unbiased critique will never rate something so popular and loved 2-3 stars .

Doesn't matter what you wanna get into you'll always find people saying it's completely trash a great example is - berserk go check the reviews on mal and you'll realise people call it garbage , and a story about raping killing monsters , big guy with swrod who is always angry one dimensional yada yada , or full metal Alchemist - you'll find a huge amount of people hating on this as well or hunter x hunter or jjk z these are all amazing stories but you'll always find people hating on them for thousands of reasons , some even try to be very thorough about it , you'll actually feel like this guy has seen the story but was he actually paying attention ! Or enjoying it at all or was the dude just another guy who doesn't watch popular animes and tries to so find , so called hidden gems and when his fav anime isn't getting any attention, he ends up watching the popular one and you know how that ends up , all that hate and rage , then ends up on mal with 2-3 star rating and a humongous rant , so be smart ☕🤝🤜🤛.
