I am not familiar with gender bend series/the trope but I found this one to be pretty alright. Enomoto seeing a life without worries (what it was like in highschool) through Rico and Rico wanting to stand out (rebelling against their future) and not have to deal with their life planned out for them that Enomoto sees.
The artstyle is pretty alright I'd say. The chapter starts also have some nice art at times.
Little spoilers but written to not give direct spoilers of everything that happens just an idea of the concepts of how they present the gender bending situations.
The character are pretty good. They may seem like corporate slave travel agent and Gal/Gyaru but it eventually gets to be a bit more between the main characters and a bit of depth to the side characters even for the 21 chapters and 17-20 pages or so each one has that they tried to fit enough into.
There is a backstory later on but for the most part the early chapters did surprise me how they go about things after the first day of gender swapping and the rest is alright for the moments after of getting used to things. You could say that some of the 'your acting strange' isn't that strong but the chapter later leading up to the ending does push the 'are you someone else' type of questions. But they do want to get the moments over with in the 20 page chapters than focus on if Rico's friend or friend's brother thinks they are acting weird.
Some people get the same thoughts with Rico trying to be Enomoto and how employees see them now and some things change pretty quick among employees, some what to protect the idol (a character that is nice but in the background compared to idols that stick out more in other series that I've usually seen idolised trope characters than the other women in the job that more so talk about things and you see how she gets looked down on by others like those that talk about things of not being in line), and the boss which surprised me they were going to do that sort of extent of the gender bend characters reacting a certain way immediately. It may be normal I don't know but for events early on compared to later it surprised me. (Trying to avoid spoilers).
There is focus on romance a bit as well as them getting used to their body changes but otherwise it's just going between what Enomoto never saw of Rico's friend and what Rico sees Enomoto has to deal with as well as what the world is like as an adult reality compared to how they would have thought it would have been from the fantasy.
There isn't really many 'we body swapped and we have to get used to how new bodies' just more they are used to it, adjusting as best they can even though some parts of 'you sound more like this than you used to' are brought up but not much is done after they say it they sort of just say 'that may be a good thing you changed this way' than digging deeper of 'you don't seem like this person' and pushing more. Well not until the later chapters after a particular event that happens and a backstory do they lean into the 'lets see if they really know the person they have swapped to such as if they hate a certain food', club they were in and more.'
It is very ecchi light, by that I mean a bathing scene that is story relevant no ecchi and two one panel chest squeeze moments. That's it. Nothing really noteworthy but still just thought I'd mention them as they don't really have that much a purpose but are there.
In terms of ending I wouldn't say there was any/many breadcrumbs (an earlier chapter, a later one and then the second last as the reveal) so when they reveal the ending chapters and the app again I was like. Ok, sure. I don't think it really did much it just seemed like that character was picked to be related to the events than others. It wasn't really a mystery I find (I could be missing things when I read it. Didn't change the way I think about the manga but still just wanted to point it out).
Otherwise I don't want to say much more as that's as much as I have read of 14 chapters so far. It's a 21 chapter, 2 volume manga so pretty short. I enjoyed it, I mostly came across it while searching other manga with Shachiku in the title (like anything I do on MAL and just look at what comes up from others in MAL or the manga apps I use besides the cover art). But yeah I enjoyed it. Like i said I don't read gender bend stuff really but for this one and the few I have seen in anime of brief episodes it's a fine concept depending on what they want to do with this sort of plot device and how dramatic things change and the odd reactions/events that play out.
