Preliminary (10/11 eps)
Ugh, this show needs more attention! I had extremely low expectations for this ballet anime, but right from the very first scene I was just as captivated as Junpei, our MC. Junpei is a typical popular schoolboy that is always cracking jokes and fooling around in class. He is on both the soccer team and is training to be stunt man just like his father who unfortunately tragically passed. However, Junpei's true ambition from a young age is to become a ballet dancer, but he regrettably represses this initially as he is overwhelmed with the belief that he has to be the man of the house. He eventually formally returns to his passion of ballet, but honestly he truly never left. Every episode sparkles with a new performance, and I've learned so much about the intricacies of ballet at the same time. I really like how flawed the main characters are in this anime, as they are still kids at the end of the day! You don't have to like ballet to be interested in this anime. You just have to be interested in a good story, and Dance Dance Danseur provides this, and then some. There are some moments of CGI during the performances, but the animation and music are still mesmerizing. Give this anime a try before the next batch of seasonals come out, because I don't want you to miss out (and I also wan't more seasons of this to be made). Thanks :)
