I have never read the manga before, nor have I seen the japanese anime. I was only brought up watching the english adaption. Which is very good and extremely fun to watch, I started watching it when I was 9 and I still love the show at 19!
The only thing is with the english adaption, they have changed a lot about the show and made it more 'kid friendly'. So all the homosexual parts of the show are meant to be more 'innocent' in the english adaptation. But some parts are obvious Such as Li's crush on Yue or Tomoyo's crush on Sakura, which are quite obvious in the english adaption after they have toned it down to make it more 'kid friendly'. I mean, who can't understand Li's blushing and running away? It's obvious in english!
