Ao Ashi (Anime) add (All reviews)
May 1, 2022
Preliminary (4/24 eps)
Ao Ashi - A simple anime about youth football and about dreams of going pro.

Ashi- Meaning "Reed". “Man is but a reed, the feeblest one in nature; but he is a thinking reed.” —Blaise Pascal, a simple phrase that is used in the series a lot.

The anime is about a boy name Aoi Ashito who aspires to become a football pro, he's passion for football and love for his family is what drives him to grow as a person and player.

The series is very interesting and really captures the viewer leaving them on a cliff hanger every episode ( at the time of writing 4 episodes are out ) as it gets more exciting as it goes.

Story:
The story is interesting and captivating to whoever is watching or reading if it is the manga, not many sports anime in particular football have this much of an interesting plot to work with. It's fluent and never fails to entertain the viewer, the anime gives reasons for events and even actual facts about football as a whole, real players even being mentioned such as Ronaldo. It stands at the top in my list due to it being realistic compared to other over exaggerated and give some sort of powers to the characters and such. For that i give it a 10.

Art:
Nothing out of this world, although props to Production I.G for trying their best to make the anime have good animations. Animating Football or even basketball anime isn't easy, though i'm glad Kobayashi Yuugo decided to hand the series to them. As a result, it's 6 for me pretty fair,

Characters:
This is where it gets interesting. The main character Ashito is one of my favourite anime protagonists. Sometimes he might act big, but at least he isn't all talk and no bark *Cough Sakuragi Hanamichi Cough*. He understands where he stands and tries to understand situations, he might act all selfish, narcissistic and overall a dumbass but he is actually a really smart guy and listens to others advice and with that he improves. One of my best characters in the series. (1# for me is Ootomo followed by Akutsu) Solid 9.

Enjoyment:
I cannot fathom how much i have enjoyed the series in just 3 episodes, it's very outstanding. I have never enjoyed a football anime this much aside from Days.
A solid 10/10 what are you waiting for? Watch it!

Overall:
10/10 Best football anime i have ever watched and will always be at the top of my list. Hands down best football series every hands down Blue Lock sucks (jk).
Watch it already.

So, the moment i finished watching episode 3 i was so excited that i went ahead and read the entire manga up to date. Let tell ya, the manga is 10x better and i bet a billion yen that you will enjoy it so much more than even the anime, but please also watch the anime cause it's still good. Conclusion, Best sports anime, hands down better than blue lock ( My opinion please don't bring the boys and gang up on me) extremely good, Kobayashi Yuugo is the best author and Hana is best girl change my mind.

The manga is extremely good an in my opinion it is better than the anime.
