An absolutely bizarre show that is so uncanny, gratuitous, and over the top, while still being subdued enough to not go completely off the rails and still maintain some sense of cohesiveness.
I thought it was going to be pure fanservice but it's definitely tongue in cheek and parodies a lot of anime and otaku tropes. My favorite parts where when the anime boys directly made fun of it's audience.
The storytelling dropping you in the middle of 2-3 minute scenarios was more like watching some funny improv as opposed to being just boys talking you to as you sleep, which it really isn't at all. And i'm glad, because it ended up being very funny.
