Date a live is one of the first harem anime I watched. I love this series even my first waifu came from this anime, namely Tobiichi Origami. I'm very happy because after waiting 3 years finally date a live 4 is airing this season.
Story (9):
The story begins as featuring new characters that did not exist in the previous series. This will make viewers who don't read LN become curious about the character. This new spirit's name was Nia Honjou. The story about dating Nia is quite funny and interesting because this spirit has a background that is quite different from other spirits. A new fact that only Nia knows is a clue about the mystery of the origin of spirits.
Art and Animation(8):
Each date a live series is done by a different studio. In this series there is a big change in the artstyle, especially the character design. I think the background, animation effects, and other things besides the character design have improved in quality compared to the previous series. I like the character designs in the first series more than in this series. In this series, the characters are designed to be more "moe" and I don't think it fits.
Sound (8):
There's nothing too special to talk about sound yet. One thing that caught my attention was the singer who sang the opening of this series. Opening Date a live 1 to date a live 3 is always sung by sweet arms, but in this series, sweet arms does not sing the opening song but the ending song.
Character (9):
One of the important things in the harem anime is the attractive female character. Date a live has many interesting heroines. Kurumi, Tohka, Origami, Kotori and Yoshino are some of the most popular waifu in this series. Other female characters also have beautiful character designs even though the character traits are not very attractive. The main character, Shido Itsuka, has experienced quite good character development, especially in the area of strength. Shido has been able to use the power of 8 spirits alternately well, even though he hasn't released all of the spirits' original powers.
Enjoyment (9):
I enjoyed the first 3 episodes of this anime. It's just that origami has not appeared too much. Especially when in episode 3 the spirits wore a bunny suit, but Origami was the only one who didn't wear a bunny suit. That halk makes me quite disappointed.
Overall (9):
This is probably the best date a live series right now because the story straight up better then three season before. I hope this anime stays good until this series ends.
