I actually really liked the story the game had, which gave this more hopeful, happier tone.
The show however, decided to go at a more depressing route, but it was still enjoyable, that is until the last 4 episodes aired.
Despite some differences, I'd most of the episodes from the first episode till this point was pretty accurate to the game, with some differences that were still pretty enjoyable to watch.
But these last 4 episodes were...frustrating. Character deaths that definitely could have been avoided, character decisions that felt really stupid, leading to more deaths, and a random villain plot at the very last minute which made no sense.
They even threw aside the Walpurgisnacht climax they've been building up so don't expect anything to come from that.
I don't hate this show, but I am quite disappointed with how the story turned out.
