Another great Chinese anime with terrible english subs. The story and artwork are masterful. Compared to some of the anime I've seen in the VRMMORPG category, this one is clearly superior with no slapstick comedy, a clear plot, and good character development. Although each episode is a short 14 minutes, it is still an engrossing story. But the subs are really bad! Why are all Chinese anime like this?! I mean, clearly this is a quality production on par with and even exceeding many Japanese anime, yet the only subs you can get are fan fiction subs that read like a straight Google translate transcription. The story itself is a bit of a SAO rip-off, with players stuck in a death-mode game, and the MC needs to progress the world storyline to save them. The nuances, however, make the show unique. The artwork makes it fun to watch. The real world is very different from SAO and masterfully portrays a cool Sci-Fi future. The nature of this "death mode" is also unique, but I won't go into details to avoid spoilers. I hope Netflix licenses these Chinese anime shows one day and gives them the TLC they deserve.
