Firstly the art and looks of the anime are great and I love the style even though it's simple.
The plot is really good in my opinion. It has a calm start and builts up later on and it has a great climax. But my absolute favorite part was the end because it wasn't just a sad ending. You would expect Tsuneo to give up his dream and stay or just leave Josee but I love that it's neither. I love seeing the struggles that they both go through trying to understand each other because their circumstances and lives are very different. I really loved that after they got into a fight instead of a bunch of drama Tsuneo knew exactly how to make Josee feel better rather than trying to keep discussing it, so they settled it peacefully.
In general I just really love the character's chemistry. They really fit each other well in different ways and the way that they're both trying hard for each other. I also really appreciate that it isn't about them choosing between each other and their dream but that they actually support each other's dream.
I feel like this movie really shows that despite going through difficulties life still goes on and that you get through it. The story feels very real and I felt drawn into it the whole time. I found myself both smiling and laughing but also crying a lot watching it. It was just so touching and I genuinely enjoyed it. The only thing that is still a mystery to me is why Josee didn't get Tsuneo at the hospital. Otherwise, I loved everything else and it made me feel all warm and happy in the end.
