Madoka is a boy who loves being pretty and wearing dresses. However, after people mock his tastes, he tries to act in a more "masculine" way in his new school. But funnily, in this new school, his neighbor is a girl who also defies gender stereotypes; she has short hair and acts in a very "masculine" manner!
Throughout the story, both characters become friends and learn that gender stereotypes are dumb, and will happily continue their hobbies with confidence; it doesn't matter if you are a boy and wear dresses, nor if you are a "boyish" girl!
