When I heard about this show, I really didn't think much of it. All I saw was that it was on my Netflix homepage. Eventually I decided to start it. As someone who is not particularly super into art / the making of art, this show did an amazing job of grasping every second of my attention. Sure the animation isn't the best, that's expected from a studio like this. However, scenes stayed extremely true to the manga which is something to appreciate. Yatora's story is an extremely captivating one and goes over a lot of the mental struggle of someone trying to find their way through the world of art. As the show kept going it not only felt like a laid back yet intense art story, but it also felt like an action filled battle with the canvas. I really do hope this show does get renewed for a second season because the manga that follows the end of season 1 is interesting and I would love to see it animated.
