I purposely let myself rewatch this after I have bigger knowledge about Fate. And as someone who's about 95% done about it, I thought to myself, "Maybe it's time to see this again and have my final thoughts about it."
Out of all the route adaptations, this is my favorite one. The animation and voice acting were fine, the original artstyle that I will always love is kept, the soundtracks are the best and even respected the original source and used a remixed of a lot of soundtracks from there, the atmosphere was perfect. It's best parts are something only this one have completed compared to the other route adaptations.
But obviously, it suffered a lot of things, 1st is the confrontation of one of the characters which showed too much and kinda ruined its mystery. But I doubt anyone watching this would remember anyway. The 2nd one is adaptation. Every Fate animes suffered from being a bad adaptation, At the time I posted this, only 4 Fate animes are close to being a good adaptation. Namely, Babylonia, Solomon, Kaleid, and UBW series.
Overall, this is a great anime. Does it serve as a good start for Fate series? It served a great start for the Fate series actually. It served its purpose and kept the essentials in the anime

P.S. I still recommend to all of you to read the VN. It can actually be read in the internet now so you can't make an excuse that you don't know how to read it. And Grand Order have over 200 hours of story while this one doesn't really reach a hundred for speed readers.
