Oh boy, this is gonna be a fun one.

Green Green is a show that is covered in the cobwebs of trends long past. It was an attempt to cash in on the ecchi boom of the mid 2000s and is blatantly unashamed of that, which is admirable in its own way. From a serious standpoint, this show is hot trash. Its humor is sophomoric, even for ECCHI standards, its story is interesting concept wise but falls flat as the show goes on and most of the characters are beyond forgettable.

So, why did I rate it a 7 out of 10?

Because this show is so bad that it becomes a blast, especially if you watch it dubbed. It was so entertaining throughout because of how bad it was, and I was rarely bored when watching it.

The mood swings of our wheat toast protagonist Yusuke, especially near the end, were as mind boggling as they were hilarious and the romance with his love interest, who I can't even remember the name of, has the passion of an old folk's home during a light drizzle, despite how they were "destined" to be together.

But nothing compares to the infamous Baka Trio. These three fucksticks are pretty much the only active characters in the plot, going on different misadventures to be the biggest creeps in anime. They're like if Ed Edd and Eddy were written by a thirteen-year-old boy who was locked in a closet and forced to watch Superbad for five months straight. But they are also the only characters I remember years after watching this show.

In conclusion, watch this show with a friend, with booze, or simply with an open mind that's ready to mock every single thing about it. Either way, you'll have a blast.
