Preliminary (27/46 eps)
My second review on a Bakugan season, with this one being one of the best.

This season is called Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge, and I have seen every episode and still watching the upcoming ones. The season has been split into 2 arcs, with one arc containing 26 episodes, and the other containing 20 episodes. I have seriously enjoyed this and I will tell you why.

Story: The story is very nice, some episodes are easy to predict but not enough to make you dislike it. This season is based almost completely on Dan's mental problems, he is 17, and after his partner Drago's latest evolution, he has been getting nightmares of a mysterious figure named Mag Mel out to get him. There home turf for Brawling is still based on Bakugan Interspace for most of the season, and the Brawlers are hosting a tournament called the Bakugan World Tournament, that is split into 5 battling seasons, Tag Team, Regular, Pre, Athletic Events, and the Final season. The top 3 brawling teams are Team Anubias, Team Sellon, and the Battle Brawlers. Dan is shunned by every single other brawler after he and Drago create a Mechtogan (A robot-like deity created by a Brawler and Bakugan) named Zenthon who causes rampage all through out the season. Dan runs off to New Vestroia, home of all Bakugan in order to train with his old friend Preyas to restart his bond with Drago. He is constantly attacked by Anubias and Sellon with their Chaos Bakugan (Bakugan created by destructive brawling). After Dan and Drago have their bond reconnected, they get even more help from Dan's old rival, Spectra Phantom, and defeat Mag Mel and his partner Razenoid who turn out to be the former Gundalia rulers: Emperor Barodius and his partner Phantom Dharak. Bakugan Interspace is destroyed in the process.

The Second Arc is completely different from the frst, it's been almost a year and Dan, Shun, Marucho, and their 2 friends from the past: Julie and Mira create the new and improved Bakugan City, where Bakugan from all over the universe come to live in peace with humans. The Brawlers are attacked by Rogue Bakugan and Mechtogan from the Doom Dimension called Nonet Bakugan/Mechtogan who both have different evil needs. The Nonet MEchtogan want to make Bakugan extinct while the Nonet Bakugan want to be freed from the Doom Dimension and unleash revenge on the humans and bakugan who sent them there. On the loose, is a evil deity named Wiseman created by evil energy from the Mechtogan out to do god knows what.
The story is awesome actually and will immediately make you in love with it. Overall 8/10.

Art: The art in this season is outstanding! The explosions, Bakugan and Mechtogan finally get their fair share of 3D/CGI animation. All Bakugan also have a metallic body part which adds even more epicness in the design. All characters have updated outfits in both seasons, and they look like casual, modern teenagers in the first arc and look even better in arc 2. This season even gets a updated ending scene (FINALLY!) Overall 10/10.

Sound: The sound is still the same as previous seasons, which is really the only downside to this season. Overall 4/10.

Character: The characters are awesome! This season brings back a bunch of old fan favorites that you will enjoy throughout the season. It also gives out it's very own dose of new characters with the only suckish ones being each member of Team Sellon. Sellon has a very disgustingly annoying british accent, and her teammates call her "Mistress" which becomes a knife in your ear after the 12th episode. There is also the disgusting Razenoid, who is a reincarnation of Phantom Dharak from the previous season. Razenoid is very annoying ALL THROUGHOUT THE SEASON! He really makes you wanna punch a homeless kitten once he evolves into what I like to call, Draco Razenoid. Overall 7/10.

Enjoyment: You will no doubt enjoy this season, it's just so fucking good, the writers and art designers made a extremely big improvement on the anime after their failure with Gundalian Invaders. Overall 10/10.

Overall: 9/10, Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge will make you want to hug a homeless kitten after every episode. Each preview will leave you wanting more, it's just a seriously good season. The only downside is the still-not-updated sounds and the (very few) failure characters.

Thank you for reading my review :D
