'Home' is a single volume manga that takes a look at the concept of human loneliness and how love is created.

Please understand one thing going into this story, this has nothing to do with any sexualization of children. I think often when we see any child shown we get worried (Japan, you certainly have a way of being uncomfortably abnormal). This story really is extremely wholesome as we look at a man who is a lonely artist that keeps to himself when a child wanders into his yard. Since the child's appearance, this lonely author's live has been more colorful. After a short time of being able to pass sunny days talking and napping in the sun, the child leaves with his parents for work overseas. The author becomes lonely once again and realizes he loved the child for the sole concept of his company. 10 years later a handsome man appears at the lonely author's door who strangely looks like the child he once knew.

This story was well done, paced smoothly, and aptly approached the concept of companionship, love, and loneliness. It also has a wholesome approach to the couple's life as they learn what love means to them and how their life has now changed. The author even expresses at one point if perhaps he made a mistake befriending the boy in case he ruined his future. I feel like this thought process was a wonderful way to approach the odd feelings we may have as the reader with a story that is a bit off-center from norm.

All in all I felt this was a beautiful story and addressed a topic that can be sensitive to many people. Speaking from personal experience, this story really is wholesome and positive and in no way portraying abuse. It was delightful and cheerful. Full of hope and love and comfort.

The art style also helped greatly as the artist made sure to properly convey all the emotions we're to expect through the story. I felt no issue following along, and the characters were aptly expressive and developed.

Overall 8 points for me, and a lovely read!
