The first third of the movie is very mysterious, but the truth is revealed short after it, *spoiler warning*: this movie is about a village of non-human persons being slaved and slaughtered by a tyrant who farm them. *spoiler closed*
Not wonder chinese media didnt like this movie, because it handle topics like slavery, fear and ignorance as a way to rule, and dictatorship, also, the ending of the movie is very crude.
In the end, is a very crude movie, full of action and violence (even if the blood is not red), that deals with a very serious topic, I can recommend it to whoever is interested in the topic, but it is not a happy movie at all.
