This story is still a typical shounen with the happy-go-lucky protagonist and his crew with epic fights with overpowered enemies. The story is just like 7DS, main character is wanted but is a good guy (also looks like an 6 year old but is older), bad guy wanting to make a genocide, THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP !
When I was reading, it made me think about some other animes. Like at the beginning, main guy lives a happy life, gets Tanjiro'd and voila, the story started. He quickly meets friends whose personality resemble the 7DS crew's imo and bad guys coming after them endlessly. With some emotional moments that didn't faze me, this is indeed a masterpiece when it comes to writing.
The characters are quite nice but the fact that I can't even remember their names proves that they're not very memorable. Ok, i remember Sin but that's only because his name has 3 letters. When I finished 7DS, I thought that this story would be about the Meliodas and Elisabeth fusio- sorry I meant, Tristan. But no, it's about some guy with weird hair. We don't know the main crew's background because everyone was abandoned by their parents and have some kind of tragic backstory. Their personality aren't very creative, there's the tsundere-ish guy, the annoying girl, the guy who likes to run away (i can't think of anything else) and the super smart animal who also has a secret he can't tell the main cast. Also, damn Percival, didn't think he would be bathing with a woman and squeezing her soft and voluptuous breeeaaaad, yes, bread.
My enjoyment ? Well it certainly was more enjoyable than homework. But as i was reading this, I was just bored because nothing interesting was happening. Of course there was explosions everywhere, MC discovering a new power and all the usual shonen stuff. The thing that made me interested was the different types of magic a bit like nen in HxH. But they just threw those word around and didn't explain, maybe they will in the future though. At least it makes this world a tiny bit more structured than in 7DS, because in there, there is absolute chaos (get it ? because Arthur lol). There will always be someone stronger than the protagonists ans they will somehow become even stronger than them. I felt like there was no rules. So at least here, we have some sort of rules I guess.
Overall, it was a good surprise since it's so much better than what I imagined but it's still trash. I mean, it's good if you just started watching anime and/or reading manga but I'm not gonna continue, feel free to tell me if it somehow becomes a masterpiece
