I cannot believe that the same person that wrote Death Note created this mess. Honestly, I personally believe that the only reason this even got an anime was because of the mangaka's previous work. To keep this short and simple, unlike the excruciating plot development of this show, this is just not a good watch. The concept of a battle royale to become god is fine, but it's more or less a battle royale of who can be depressed the most. The plot moves forward only when a character becomes unshackled by their depression, which takes a LONG time. I'm left not caring about the motivations for either the protagonist or antagonist to become god. Once the new seasonals come out, I will lose any motivation to continue to trudge through this dumpster fire.
