Mixed Feelings
There's a lot to like about this show, mainly the worldbuilding and the plot. But frankly, there's also a lot to dislike. Specifically the main character.

I'll adress the elephant in the room right away. The main character, Rudeus, is an absolute creep towards literal children, not to mention the adult women. When I say literal children, I don't mean just underaged teens I mean girls younger than 12.
He is the same age or younger than the characters he harrasses or fantisizes about, but he has the mind of an adult otaku in his mid 30's.

I was initially intrigued by the storytelling and worldbuilding, which I found interesting. I also enjoyed several characters. But I have been near quitting this show so many times out of pure disgust. Rudeus is absolutely revolting.
I stuck around til the end however because the story remains interesting, and the show seems to keep hinting that he is going to get better, and seems to be making steps towards becoming a better person.
