I saw this movie originally online by fan-subs then most recently again in theaters. This truly is one of those experiences where I wish I could remove my memories of it just so I can experience it anew.

The final battle demonstrated that essentially, Gintama is like an old samurai movie polished to a shining silver for a new era. The voice acting hit it on the nail just right that it brought me to tears. It also helped that SPYAIR once again came back to give their usual phenomenal performance for the soundtrack.

The one gripe I think I would have is that after the conflict gets handled it feels a bit drawn out. I understand that it's because there are so many characters that make Gintama what it is but it felt a little too long of an ending segment.

If you haven't watched the rest of the series do not watch this without context because both the jokes and the drama won't hit the right spots. It's all about the ending of the journey. But in the end, it still makes you believe that the Yorozuya will always be there.
