I picked up this manga because I am a Shuuzou Oshimi fan and want to read everything he creates, and I was not disappointed by this one.

The story is about a troubled and hopeless boy who finds solace in the girl he admires because of a pornographic video. He is allured by the beauty and strangeness of the woman. Her quirks and the mysterious character represents an escape from the real and mundane world which means pain for the boy. The theme is common in Oshimi's works.

The characterization of the main character is done really well. In just a few words, actions and reactions, you get to know his personality and can sympathize with his struggles. The way in which he finds meaning for his life in such a trivial thing as an adult video shows his state of mind, and that can even be relatable for a lot of people. The girl doesn't have much characterization, and she is not meant to. She is an enigma, her role is evoking mystery. She is aloof and seemingly unreasonable. What we know about her is that she is beautiful, alluring, typical of the femme fatale often present in the works of the author.

The art is beautiful as you would expect by the author, specially in his most recent mangas. The girl appearance and facial expressions is exquisite and left a big impression on me. Everything is well-drawn, creating a realistic feeling for the story.

This one-shot was very enjoyable for me, as I got what I expected when looking for more works of the author. I recommend this for fans of Shuuzou Oshimi, as it has the qualities of his other works which he is famous for. I think it's definitely a worth read for everyone since it's so short, so it can't be much of a waste, even though I don't think it is the kind of manga to be liked by everyone.
