[spoilers for the movie incoming, also spoilers for oregairu and koe no katachi]

(if you are making up your mind on whether you want to watch this by reading: yes you should watch this movie, its amazing)

Let me start of by saying that this movie is amazing and I cried way too much at the end, if you go into the movie completely blind you don't even realize the direction until about the mid way point and then the 3rd part hits you like a ton of bricks, you think they are going to get together through some miracle but reality is often cruel. And the cherry on top of your sobbing eyes is One more time, One more chance by Masayoshi Yamazaki. Now let me explain why I gave this a one overall and in my enjoyment, 1 for enjoyment because I was broken by the end of the movie, basically I like my romance stories to be more.... how do I say this wholesome, vanilla with happy endings and I felt like they both didn't try hard enough to maintain their relationship just a bit more of communication and maybe they would not have drifted apart (I'm just saying what I would have done in such a situation but obviously I can't comment since I have 0 experience) , I also don't mind bittersweet endings for side characters, but I always want the main characters to end up together, I also am not saying I just want boy meets girl, falls in love and they live happily ever after, I really like [oregairu and koe no katachi spoilers incoming] Oregairu in that aspect because the emotions feel so real and Yui's conflict of wanting all 3 of them to stay friends but still liking 8man feels like such a real human emotion to have and in koe no katachi (while romance might be a minor aspect it is quite important) shows us how people can grow into better people and the feelings of guilt both the bully and bullied have are quite similar.

Great film by Makoto Shinkai and definitely a must watch but I will never watch it again as I have only one heart and I don't want it broken beyond repair

tl;dr: 47.244 American football fields/day is an amazing movie that you should definitely watch but grab a tub of cookies and cream ice cream, a warm blanket and some tissues beforehand
