I'm writing this review basically because I haven't seen anyone who has also read the novel do it, and I wanted to be the first to review the series as an adaptation, instead of a simple anime.
With that said…
The anime "Shinka no mi" is a cheap, rushed and a bad adaptation in general.
I'm just guessing, but it seems that, whoever is in charge of this, is trying to compress 5 volumes in a short season anime. That's why I said "rushed". For someone who read the novel, the anime is just jumping from one joke to the next one, leaving any sort of character development behind.
I should say this, when I saw the first and even during second episode I was laughing out loud; however, by third and now fourth episode I finally understood the problem with the story of this anime: there is none. Shinka no Mi is a parody of the isekai genre, especially mocking about the OP-MC trend. But by leaving out the character development, the anime became a generic comedy isekai. In that aspect it reminds me to Arifureta (yes, I'm doing the comparison too); though Shinka doesn't take itself seriously.
Now, about the "cheap" and "bad" part: It is noticeable from the very opening! The abuse of close ups, generic panning of static or looped cuts, and a total lack of dynamism in what should be accition scenes, this anime has it everything to be called "bad animation". And also the fact that is done in 2D makes me think (yes, is just my appraisement) that the budget is lower than that of Arifureta and Kumo Desuga (in its last 6 episodes), which made those mistakes in 3D.
Overall, this anime is a 5 when it comes to an adaptation, and a 3 if you don't have the background of the novel. Why? Because the novel is a parodic comedy and, so far, the jokes are all there. And obviously, without the context you won get the joke; that's why it has a better rating for those who have read the novel and a lower grade for those who doesn't.
