This is an amazing love story between a deaf man and a violinist he met purely by chance.

Story

Ayumu Isuzu is a hardworking man who happens to be deaf. His condition doesn't stop him from trying his hardest, far from it, he is a gentle, honest man who is and tries to be completely independent. As such, he has a hard time maintaining relationships because most of his partners leave him since they feel he doesn't really need them.

Mibu Touka, a passionate violinist who is struggling with improving his skills and listening to critique. He's in a complicated spot artistically, where he wants to play and convey the feelings to the audience but the music he plays isn't really reaching others, it's just reaching him and pleasing his ear. Defensive and angry, mostly against himself he is struggling with life right now.

The story between this two starts when Isuzu finds Touka lying on the grass in a park one random night while going for his daily run. He can't wake him up and decides to help him and take him to his house.

This is an amazing romance story about how hard it can be to convey feeling and emotions to people that might need you to express yourself differently. It's a story about closing the distance between people, and doing so by going out of your comfort zone. It's about putting an effort to listen to what others need of you, instead of just paying attention to what you want. It's a story about struggling in life and finding someone that challenges your point of view about things.

Art

The artstyle is amazing honestly, it's pleasure to read it. Super clear, characters are really expressive with their faces, so you have those kind of panels where maybe dialog isn't necessary, you can just get whats going on just by looking. This is probably intentional, to kind of make you understand what Isuzu feels like and how he sees things. There's amazing attention to detail.

Characters

Characters resemble real people. They have good traits, bad traits, they struggle with change, they struggle with life. They're really humanlike characters in that sence, they don't feel one dimensional. Their personalities are shown in a way in which not only are they believable, but the growth they show makes sense, and their actions are coherent with who they are. Not much to say without spoiling things but they're pretty likable.

Enjoyment

Loved this story. It deals with a lot of hard stuff revolving having a passion about something and desperately trying your hardest and also about the struggles of adapting to a world that is not catered to deaf poeple and the hardships of navigating daily life when everything around you is not prepared for your exsistance.

Overall

It's a really short good read, can't recommend it enough. Well paced character develpment and slow relationship development makes this a believable story.
