I've watched many Miyazaki movies, but this is the first time I've seen such a bad one. When I looked at how much the anime was loved, I was really expecting a masterpiece, but it was the opposite. The World introduced in the anime is truly amazing, but very poorly rendered. I also think it looks great visually.

The characters are a disappointment. The relationships between the characters are very simple and rushed. The story was pretty weak. Some of the decisions the characters made were really ridiculous. While watching the plot progress in a strange way, there were many scenes where I asked why it was going like this.

But if there's one thing we should congratulate, it's that the anime is artistically successful.
