DC3 is a celebratory one shot created by the people who brought us the promised never land, marking its 5th anniversary. Although this one shot wasn't able to live up to the high expectations TPN set for it, there still were a couple of things to look forward to.
I'll try to keep this review succinct as there isn't much to talk about. The story is set in the imminent future, where robots are a normality, however the premise is a bit farfetched and too mediocre to make it an interesting read. The characters are also pretty bland, but of course there isn't much room for character development in a one shot (although there was a little bit in this one). I'd say the biggest positive in this one shot was the art - it stayed consistent throughout and was always top notch. One major issue with it is that I think although there were some nice twists, it was missing the sad, emotional ending that could've made it a pretty nice one shot that stood out (once you read it, you'll understand what im talking about)
All in all it wasn't a huge dissapointment, but not exactly worthwhile either. If a futuristic one shot about robots and a middle school girl being targeted by practically everyone is up your alley, then be sure to give this one a shot, and even if it isn't, im not gonna try to stop you because its only 51 pages long, and you never know, you might find the experience very enjoyable.
