To be very honest, this movie wasn't needed.
The anime had ended quite well with the story. of course, the story did not end with the anime, but another episode or two would have ended the show well enough.
I got goosebumps in the beginning while the childhood scene of gintoki was being played, but that's it. The movie does not live up to the expectations, well but I did not expect anything from the movie in the first place..
All the residents of kabukichi coming back to join hands, now this had become pretty repetative.
I am a big gintama fan and it will always be my favorite anime, but this was just a filler episode. nothing else.
