Oblviously, you cannot fit much character development or plot in 30 minutes and there is absolutely no complexity except for the complex worryings of the main character. However, I got a strange feeling of comfort as I watched it. The plot is linear and easy to follow, I assume the creators cut out a lot of things from the manga, but it was done really carefully so none of the blank spaces bother you. The characters aren't overly dramatic which simply lets you enjoy the chill romcom.
