Welcome to the Re:zero quick review!
Summary and recommendation:
- if you're an action junkie and care for animation quality or if you're looking for something that you can watch whilst "you're in idle mode", you can skip this show. (I happen to be an action junkie myself, but for some reason this show stuck with me. I dunno, don't ask)
- on the other hand, if you don't mind looks and enjoy deep characters and story telling, then I can't recommend Re:zero enough.
I have read all the way past arc 6 and I promise you. It. gets. better.
(also, there's a lot more fighting. I injected every scene straight into my cerebral cortex. Don't call the doctor, he won't be able to stop me)

Story: 10/10 - There's many plot threads running concurrently and even more running in the background. I think the story is very interesting and profound, but that is my subjective taste, but If you like mystery and don't care much for action, then you most likely will feel at home here.
Characters: 10/10 - The show gives its characters the love they deserve. They are not perfect beings and over time they get the opportunity to work on their issues and improve. I like that and am fond of the characters. A "bad" re:zero character is still a good character when placed on any other show.
sound: 10/10 - The OST's alone can carry this category, all the music is good here. (tbh, I do not care for the opening from part 2, but it plays "so many times" that I didn't took notice :) )
Voice acting: 10/10 - All the VA's are also top notch. From Dio to Megumin, this show's got it all!
To be honest, my fav is still Yūsuke Kobayashi (main character for VA)
Animation: This is my biggest complaint. Re:zero season 2 is on the average or just bellow average for animation quality. I swear there's a loop in which Subaru dies because the animators dislocated his eye sockets to the sides of his cranium, giving him pigeon like features. The dude looks like an alien during majority of the season.
