(This review will contain NO spoilers) I have never fallen head over heels in love with a manga so quickly before. This had everything I was looking for in it. This is my first review ever, I'm not great at these and this will be very bias hahaha.
I am very picky when it comes to what I spend my time reading and I often drop manga very quickly if it's not up to par with what I like.
Rojica to Rakkasei offered so much in just the first chapter, a slice of life story with a very cute main cast! It did a fantastic job introducing the cast and the characters remain consistent and true to themselves throughout the entirety of the story. The first chapter shows you what to expect throughout the entire thing and if you're not hooked by then then this isn't for you.
THIS MANGA IS *NOT* FOR CHILDREN! Weird right? It looks so cute! How could it be not directed towards children? Some chapters in this made me either audibly gasp, jump in my seat or slap my hand over my mouth... Let's say you would be caught of guard in a couple chapters.
If you like Adventure Time you will love this manga.
The main characters Rojica and Rakkasei are so cute and are a little family of two, they have fun and play lots of games. They have an interest to learn about ancient human life/civilization so they often try to play games or do things in which they read about - seeing their interpretation of how to play these games was funny and cute. But!... The other characters in the town have their own stories and own lives which aren't that different from the main two... you will see the main characters help out other characters but was this a good thing?...
We read the majority of the story through the innocent eyes of Rojica and Rakka, but in an eerie way we are then switched perspectives to another character and live a chapter in their eyes... Once reading their story, it snaps back to the main two and we see just how cute and innocent they are - unaware.
I'm terrible at writing but you will love Rakka and Rojica so much, I promise you! Don't have high expectations and just have fun while you read!
10/10 I love it. It's in my top 3 now, beneath Vagabond and Berserk hahaha.
