I don't really read nor watch this type of manga as zombie-based stories are outside my area of interest and it feels like every one is just similar to each other. And I bought this one on a whim.
But it's been an enjoyable experience and it was truly captivating. It starts a little bit slow as the author takes his time introducing and building the main character; the awkward, insecure, delusional, and indecisive MC.
the author repeatedly emphasize those traits of his character to a point of almost solidifying them. But towards the end it seems like he discarded all that with a sudden change with no preface nor explanation.
The most notable example to me was how the MC kept being reluctant to let other take his shotgun or teach them to use one and how he was indecisive when it comes to shooting zombies and how much it burdened him as he considered it a crime punishable by law. But in the last few chapters he suddenly lost all that and it was obvious the author just wanted to conclude the story.
I appreciated how he explained the motives behind these entities by showing it through side characters that had little to no contribution to the story, but even then he proceeded to stop halfway through the explanation with an ending that don't pair well with these motives.
Again it was an enjoyable read even for someone who doesn't necessarily care for such mangas. And I guess it would've been more appropriate to stop reading before the end in a similar way to how the author abandoned the story there.
