With the title Yasuke i was expecting it to be about Yasuke, which it partially is i'll give some credit to that. Instead the majority of the show was about a character i had no reason to care about , random villains that barley interested me.
What i did like; I did like the fact that they didn't entirely ignore that Yasuke's race would affect they way he was treated and seen in a different country. I liked that they gave him good character, not much of a personality aside from kind and heroic though. Some parts were decently amusing, the fights were good visually. I enjoyed characters designs as well.
What i didn't like; the overall story, i would've been much more interested to learn about the character it advertised. They do show some of his back story which i feel would have been far more interesting than anything Saki had going on at all. I had no reason to care for her at all and wished she wasn't even in the story or the story was just rewritten entirely . I feel like the advertisement was just bait to watch some show about another kid with powers.
Don't watch this if you're expecting to actually learn about Yasuke himself at alllll
