First of all the story, it was very well arranged and is to die of laughter. We may not take this manga seriously right away but there will be moments that will make you doubt that this manga is immature and it'll convince you to not take it lightly. There is a real moral to be drawn from it and it can even make you put in the place of the character of this crazy story whether on the man side or the fish side. I think anyone who's read it has been suprised at least one time during the reading. For me the only negative point of the story was the end, that was too short and it feel like something was missing.
The drawning were cleary the best part of the manga, very focused on the facies and the details, some of them were the reason why some situation were so comical. Some pages will stay in your memory for a long time. Their quality were superb from the beggining to the end. That was one of the main important feature of this manga.
Now for the characters, one of the main characters is "Masterba shion"... yes you read it correcly. The irony of this name... Whatever, this 16yo boy is the pround father of "Sauman" the Salmon-man, born in the river where is father, 2 years ago, had expelled all his frustration caused by the fact that he had to move away from his best friends and was bullied and beaten by "Ginji ito"one of his classmate who live alone with his grand father.
Shion is the character which represents adolescence, and you will follow his development on his way of thinking and on his behavior. The reason of all of this is Sauman. An alcoholic and smoker fish who was searching his father for him to answer his questions.
This manga is not for everyone, the humor is very particular but this manga is so unique that you must try it. I hope you will have a great time to read it as much as me. Some scene will remain in your mind for a long long time I can assure you.
