Most other people either skimmed the anime, didn't read the source material, or just focused on the extremely sensitive parts, so let me give you an actual review.

Story: 10/10
Mushoku Tensei is about a shut-in who is eventually kicked out of his parents home and forced to fend for himself, after walking for a while questioning his life decisions, he sees a group of high-schoolers arguing. Out of nowhere, a truck appears and he saves them from peril with his own life, getting hit with the truck. He is taken to the hospital and as he dies, hears sounds of what seems to be extreme moaning (Zenith giving birth). Upon reincarnation, he doesn't know he's a baby, he still has the mentality he used to because he doesn't know how else to act. He acts like a pervert because of the material he faced himself with that turned him into who he was. The story is about him fixing his mentality through his new life, he sees it as a new opportunity to better himself, but that isn't easy for him. It isn't for anyone. He's a sick human being who is trying to make himself better, thats what the storyteller portrayed him as because you can see the impact of their actions later on MUCH more clearly. Rudeus tries hard to better himself but cant help but to keep reverting to what he knows in situations where he's stuck, hence why he acts like a pervert most of the time. he's a damn 30-something year old neet. He's not like all the Generic isekai protags who have the "perfect morality compass" because that's boring, you MAL reviewers said yourself its boring, yet call this trash because he's trying to better himself? Anyways, it takes time for a person to change, and he learns that slowly throughout the series. We are only 11 episodes in with the 2nd cour coming in during the Summer of 2021, so I hope all of you reviewers who gave this story a 1/10 can at least continue to see his progress to becoming a better person, because its a slow burning story.

Another thing, HE IS NOT OVERPOWERED! He was given NO special powers, he spent his first years as a newborn fascinated with magic because his old world had nothing of the sort, so he tried to use it himself and built up his mana pool while he was still young. His casting-without-incantation ability is somewhat rare, but you have to learn such a thing when you're small, or else it wont work. He managed this because he kept his knowledge from his previous life and attempted to apply that to magic to perform incantationless magic; he himself was surprised by it.

Art: 10/10
As a new studio between two existing studios, the artstyle exceeds my expectations and goes farther beyond what I could ever dream of! The artstyle truly captures what a fantasy world should be, and truly captures the essence of the vast world they live in through those gorgeous landscape shots! Other than that there isn't much to really say for me, I love the artstyle, and I love how the fight scenes are nice and fluid without seeming too extreme.

Sound: 9/10
As someone who watched this on a home stereo with 7.1.2 true surround sound, might I say WOW. some parts are a little odd and over-bassy but other than that you can truly hear, even without atmos support, the location of peoples footsteps, monsters growls, animals grazing grass for food, and the voices of the characters themselves.

Character: 8/10

I know this is anticlimactic because of the rant I had in the story part, but the only reason I'm giving it an 8 is because of the material the anime skipped out on that would've helped people recognize Rudeus' growth as a person from his old mentality alot more (I'm looking at YOU, bedroom scene). Other than that, Eris has the perfect depiction of what a Tsundere should be, Roxy of what a master should be, and Paul as..... Paul...

Enjoyment: 10/10

Judging from the trailers the animation looked fluid and amazing! but with every anime, no matter what, the Trailers NEVER look as good as the trailers. They can get close , but never perfect. Because of that, I was a little skeptical and nervous about how it would look, sound, feel, and portray emotions and actions, but might I say in the 11 episodes we've seen so far, its absolutely superb! Amazing adaptation and I am looking forward to the adaptation of volumes 4-hopefully 7.

Overall: 9/10

Skips some important parts for character development, which I understand, but I find it can skip too much sometimes. Its a great mix of comedy, adventurism, and an eventual coming of age story where Rudeus grows to be a better person, meet some awesome and not so awesome people, and truly learns his place in the world! I cant wait for the second cour, and I hope all the reviewers who gave this anime a 1/10 can atleast finish watching it to see for yourself how a person can truly change through an adventure and experience!
