I read this manga because of how much I loved the 2016 drama. I needed more of my Diachi. He's not even character was not even in the books. If You watched the show and just want some nice relaxing fluff manga then read this. If not, don't bother you are not missing much, its almost all in the show anyway, and better in the show.
The art in the first couple of books that were done in the nineties was refreshing to look at after reading new manga from the last several years. The whole store takes place in about 6 months, so while other reviews say there is no character development, I think there was a good amount given the age of the characters.
