It is as good as a Junji Ito short story can be.
As we can expect, it has some thrilling imagery and a vague plot which can actually bring more horror to the table.
The characters are one of the weakest point, as they are only used as a way to show the reader a reaction to the monster shown in the story, but as a whole, it doesn't affect the enjoyment of the story that much. Speaking of which, is one of my favorites designs for a creepy looking humanoid monster from Junji Ito.
Definitely worth reading even if it's not one of Junji Ito's best works.
