it had been a while since i've seen this anime but i just wanted to throw my two cents in about it. this anime did have it's ups and down but quite honestly i found it to be rather enjoyable despite how simple some many thing it to be. what i will say is that for any questions you may have about the anime, read the manga. it describes things a bit more in detail and is obviously longer than the show. they did leave some things out in doing the conversation from manga to anime but it wasn't too much of a let down. the story i thought was deep though it was more subtle in the anime than in the manga. the characters all had their own appeal to me that i enjoyed and the art was rather nice in all truth. some many think it a simple gore fest and that it didn't capture the manga well enough but i don't think that. i watched the anime first before and i was able to understand it perfectly. i say if you don't mind blood and a not so perfect ending, this would be a good anime to watch
