The difference in this one is that instead of monsters, they use young kids, which allows the partners to develop a better connection with each other, like they were older siblings and younger siblings.
The action is great. All fights are based on the monster kids using magic spells that are unique to them. Each one has different magic and each magic has tons of spells, so it creates fights that never feel repetitive or boring since you never know what spell they will use next.
The mcs are also great. They always fight using actual strategy to win the battle and have a lot of depth and charm to their character.
Some of the humor is hit-and-miss, and at times the art can be kinda odd, but I feel the good outweighs the bad in a massive way.
