I´ve got some mixed feelings about KHR, this manga is one of the most enjoyable reads I´ve had in a while, but still, it has its flaws because of the shonen nekketsu trope that it follows.

STORY (7/10): The story was very cliche, it followed famous tropes, the characters find themselves in trouble against a new situation with powerful enemies, they train and have some nice fights against the powerful underlings, the protagonist fights against the leader and ends up winning because of a powerup most of the time. The first and last arcs of this manga are not very good but still, the first arc is an arc that I find to be a KEY component to the story because of the mood that it sets, and the last arc has a pretty decent first half and a very bad seconf half.

ART (8/10): The art is very good, nothing too remarkable but it was very well drawn for its time, the "epic" moments are epic and well drawn, the fights while some may be kind of confusing, are very intense, and the characters are very well drawn.

CHARACTERS (8/10): The charaters may be very repetitive sometimes, but most of them are way too enjoyable to get bored of them, such as Gokudera, a rascal that gets some nice development through the arcs and is very loyal to the main character, the protagonis does get some good development but it is pretty boring at first.

ENJOYMENT (9/10): Katekyo Hitman Reborn is one of those manga that you can keep reading nonstop even after ending a 100+ story arc filled with action, only to watch another story arc with the same dose of action, pretty much every fight is completely amazing, seeing how the characters unlock new abilities and train them is very interesting, this manga has a pace that you just can´t run away from, the pace sufferst at first, but when the story takes in gear, it is very hard to stop watching it.

OVERALL (8/10): I´ve got a soft spot for this manga in my heart, the characters are endearing, the powerups are nicely made (though they are kind of abused in some parts of the story) and it is in my opinion, a good shonen manga, it suffers because this manga is part of the nekketsu trope, some flaws found in many other manga are found in here too, but it does not make it a worse read at all, if you are looking for a fun, action-filled manga with a story and characters that you will stick to and love from start to finish, then I would recommend KHR without a doubt.
