I can fully understand how people can like Blue Lock and if you enjoy it, then good for you, but in my case I will say this: I was really disappointed. This manga had so much potential with his unique trope of the selfishness in soccer. It could have fully exploited this idea by making a story way more dark and realist, but instead, it went to the basic shounen story. I had couldn't get past chapter 24 cuz at this point I felt like the story shifted from dark and compelling to basic "friendship power" style. Imo, this manga is like the perfect "edgy teen": seems gloomy and complex but is really just cringe. The art is great, the premise is great and the story might become great later on, but I just can bring myself to continue Blue Lock. But again, its a matter of taste so that just my opinion.
P.S. : pls, don't even compare this to ao ashito, their style and story are too different and I just can't stop cringing at the people who says that blue lock story is better than ao ashito.
