So I think this was an improvement on the main show, which I don't know how much of that is really a good thing or if it's a sign of improvement for the next season. I'll just have to watch and see at some point.
It's been over half a year since I watched the first season and don't remember it too well, but what I think this did well was have a good sitcom like plot going on that brought the main cast together and express their own funny viewpoints about some main topic: marriage. Everyone has moments to bounce off each other, there's less whiny monologues, more Ms. Hiratsuka, it's a better time than the twisting, weird moments of the main show. But anyway, this was nice and kind of made me wish there was a second episode here that would go into what happened afterwards with what this marriage promotion would look like.
